My son is obsessed by all things pre-historic and when he saw this in store he desperately wanted it plus all the dinosaurs available. We have embarked on a large project involving mache volcano, dinos, sharks (?) to create a prehistoric landscape. So this is an AWESOME buy that will keep a 7 year old happy for the next few weeks. And the added bonus is that volcanoes are the theme at school this term too...

Homework project
My eldest son had to create a volcano for his homework. After visiting our local store few weeks earlier he saw this & really wanted it there & then! He hadn't forgotten about it so was a prefect opportunity to purchase it. Bit over priced for what it is but to see my sons face when he was decorating it, priceless.

We purchased this volcano for our 8yo son. Initially it was so he could put a bottle of coke with a mento into middle of the volcano for a little experiment. But after he'd decorated it with glitter filled red/brown paint, he didn't want to ruin it by soaking it during the experiment!

This volcano is just what I've been looking for.
It's strong, substantial and large. Perfect to go on the playscene I'm making for my grandson for his dinosaur toys. It has a wide stable base.
It's going to look great when it's painted.
I also bought some coloured foam sheets to make flames coming out of the top.

Great. Simple and age friendly.
Very easy to decorate. Children loved it. The ridges helped the paint drip and give a real life lava effect.
My one issue was the price was steep for cardboard. Maybe throw in a free cardboard dino with every purchase.

Value for money
I bought this volcano for my almost six year old grandson who loves arts and crafts. He painted it with different acrylic coloured pants and attached several prehistoric animals to it. Looked fantastic.
