Looks great but painting isn't simple
These letters are sturdy and look quite nice as they come - however I bought mine with the intention to paint it, and found a lot of trouble doing so. The front/back surface is extremely smooth, and as such paint tends to streak and have an uneven coating. The sides, however, are more textured and paint extremely well, often needing only one coat. As such I would absolutely recommend using sandpaper to scuff the surface a little if you intend to paint these letters.

Nice solid letter
I really like this MDF letters. I was looking to build a word SMILE for my bathroom but could not find a finish product. I was happy to find all letters needed and use paint I had at home to paint the colour I wanted to match to rest of the decor in my bathroom. The final product looks grate. The paint sticks better to the sides though, the front and Bach of the letters is quite smooth so doesn't catch perfectly on that smooth surface.

Love these letters.
They are solid, smooth and ready to decorate in whatever medium you choose.
I usually paint mine, put them in a shadow box and embellish them in various ways with flowers, pearls, diamonds etc.
The end product makes a much appreciated, unique gift.

Great product
I use these to paint and put in box frames. They take paint easily and with a couple of coats look fantastic. I would only buy my mdf letters from hobbycraft as they have a lovely smooth finish making them easy to paint.

Great Quality & Value
I have tried lots of wooden letters for my projects and these are the best I've found so I always use them now.
They are great quality, they are finished well and I find them so easy to paint. They look great.

Exactly what I needed
Purchased for my son to cover with pearl clay and does the job. Looks great covered in coloured clay and makes a nice keepsake. Good value too. Have now got one initial for each son and an ampersand

Value for money
Really impressed with the quality of the the letter and it was really reasonably priced. I used this with some paint to decorate it and it worked really well. Would defiantly purchase again.
