Could be better
After reading the instructions several times to make sure I fully understood them I loaded the clip with the bits to add the top of the fasteners. I placed the material in the middle and hit it with a hammer to fasten the bit together. The first try didn't fasten and only bent the prongs out of shape. The second go the outside bit held in the material but the inside piece didn't. On the 3rd go I got it to hold but the pearl outside had cracked.
I repeated it to attach the other bottom side of the popper with similar problems.
What should have used 3 poppers from the pack used 6.
Make sure you purchase enough to have problems

Very difficult to use
I bought these poppers so that I didn’t need to make buttonholes. However, in the end, it might have been easier to brave the buttonholes! The Pearl tops were very pretty but I found the diagrams very hard to decipher, It took me the whole of the packet to successfully place four poppers! Probably my fault but please make it easier for the older generation!

Reasonably priced so isn’t anything to with HObbycaraft it’s more of an issue with the actual product.

terrible
supposed to be 10 sets but there were 6 tops and 13 backs, the sets i did have broke off at 1st use, would never buy them again.

Nice Pearlised Studs
Was looking for snap fasteners without a clue of how to fix them. I liked the pearlized look of these fasteners but wasn't sure about the method of fixing them onto fabric. Even the instructions on the back of the packet wasn't clear to me as I was totally ignorant of how these worked. After searching YouTube I had more of an idea. It takes a few trial and error to get it right but when they work they look lovely. The only thing being the hammer action (as opposed to using pliers, I've learnt that much), is that you risk damaging the pearl studs which I did on 2 occasions, so beware of that and cover the pearl end with a towel to soften the blow (but don't hit directly onto the pearl end). I like the fasteners but fiddly to fix. It would be good if manufacturers could recommend pliers to use instead of a hammer. The Jersey ones are for light to medium use.

Quick fix
These little stud fasteners are great for a quick mend to replace a button or in place of a button hole and button.
The instructions need to be clearer as I wasted three of them trying to figure out which way up the pieces needed to be.
Overall. They did a good job for what I needed but would invest in a bulk buy as these small packs are expensive for what they are.
