Great project, fun was had!
I bought three money boxes for a rainy day ‘play date’ and so much fun was had. Enjoyed by a 4 year old, a 6 year old, and a 6 1/2yr old (the half is very important!).
They each had a different approach, but I particularly liked that on the back of the box, was a guide to mixing the colours provided, to paint the money box, to achieve the same look as pictured. So, what seems like a few teeny pots of random colours, is more than enough to create a masterpiece ;-)
I’d have happily paid full price for them, but thank you Hobbycraft for offering things like this as half price during the school holidays.

Great value for money
Great value for money. As always with these kits it would be nice to get more paint choice, but at least the colours actually match the item being painted. The brush was of decent quality but we did use our own for the detail. Overall my daughter was delighted with it and enjoyed painting it.

I Brought This for my little boy age 6, who became very anxious in lockdown and didn’t want to go back to school. He was so brave and went in without getting upset. As a treat I let him choose something in hoobycraft. There is a big range of pocket money crafts to choose from that wont break the bank., He loves sloths so chose the paint your own sloth money box.
It was good value and gave lot of play value as he spend a long time painting it and admiring it. He loved that it had a chart showing him how to mix colours. Because there was a coloured picture to copy he took extra care, he was very proud of it and excited when I put a pound into it to start him off. Its now in his room and he loves it.
The only thing I would say is the paint stick could be improved on but it didn’t seem to bother my boy

Excellent value for money
Even at full price this item is excellent value. I have purchased a number of these at half price to keep for birthday presents for my child’s friends. There are so many designs to choose from and the product is of good quality. I have paid on average around £20 to visit a number of pottery painting shops and this is a cheap and enjoyable way to paint pottery without the cost.

Great value for money
I bought this product and a few variations to do with the kids. They loved painting in the animals using their imagination. The paints were easy for them to open and shut and spread nicely without being too thin.
The kit as a whole is great value for money. It's helped encourage my kids to save their pocket money to buy more craft stuff for the next holidays!

Very child friendly
My 10 year old daughter loves Sloths and we were looking for something for her to do on a rainy afternoon. She absolutely loved this. She chose her colours carefully and took her time. She was really pleased with the final product and is using her moneybox well with keeping her pocket money safe.

Great activity with kids
This was so much fun to do. The only reason I scored down was because half my paints had dried up and I had to use some of my own supply. We got a few so shared our paints. The colour mixing guide was helpful. The brush provided wasn't the best but did the job.
