Red Hot Melt Cordless Glue Gun

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Gobbles up your batteries & overheats I purchased a cordless glue gun as I didn’t want to be limited on where I used this for my projects. Unfortunately I have had to bring back & exchange for a corded one as this takes 4x AA batteries. In the space of 30mins I went through 8x batteries. I had to turn off the gun to let it cool completely before trying to use again. Then after 10mins of being on I had to put another 4 batteries in. I wouldn’t recommend this one if you are making wreaths or anything where you need it on for longer than 10 minutes. Hobby Craft we’re very understanding and accommodating with my exchange. And it’s great that they have other options on offer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from If only I'd read the reviews first I was so excited about a cordless glue gun. The small, corded one I have is constantly falling over or twisting about the worktop because the cord is weightier than the gun itself. I thought this cordless one was the answer. No, it was not! It worked fairly well for the first 10 minutes. It did dribble a bit but the tip was a good size to squeeze out a regular line of glue. My complaint is that it totally drained extra-long life batteries before I'd even used 2 sticks - which, by the way, it melted through in no time at all. So, dead batteries and a half finished project. I would NOT recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Use it anywhere. It's great to use in the field. I mean in the camping field. We do a lot of themed weekends its absolutely fantastic for speedy prop building and of course running repairs. It saves running generators for an electric glue gun. Years ago I had a gas powered glue gun but it was large and cumbersome. This battery glue gun is lightweight neat and quick.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cannot recommend - hot and slow I purchased as an occasional crafter as it was cordless. In theory, this is very useful. Sadly, the reality is the little light that came on when it was turned on died after seconds, then the handle got uncomfortably warm very quickly but the glue stick did not! Not only did it take a lot of fiddling to get the glue stick to actually go in far enough, but it took between 15-20 minutes before I saw any glue make its way out of the tip. Can't return as ditched packaging and receipt 5 minutes after getting it home. To be fair, when it eventually worked it was quite precise but the handle/battery area heat issue is a no-no for me - I would not imagine wanting a child to hold it for any length of time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Handy but could be better Very handy with it being cordless!! However it take 4 batteries and within 30 minutes of use (not all at one go) they drained the batteries. I’ve since bought a corded on as I can’t afford to be buying 4 new batteries after every use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality product This was a replacement for the first glue gun purchased. The gun works for about an hour in total and then seems to burn out, the handle becomes very hot as do the batteries. Very poor quality product.
