Doesn't have option to sit level
I appreciate that this is a tilting turntable but it doesn't sit level at any point. I checked with a spirit level - I had thought/hoped that it would sit level and the tilt could be increased as needed so that I could have the option. Not very useful for filling and levelling a cake. I'm not actually convinced mine isnt defective going by other reviews so I may return it.
The top of the turntable also slides out of the base far too easily for my liking.
I did like that the top has a grip which is why I purchased it over the standard flat turntable.
Unless you have a real need for a tilt, I wouldn't buy this.

Needs a locking mechanism
Overall it’s a decent turntable. It turns smoothly - unlike a more expensive one I had before which jolted a lot.
My only problem is that the tilt doesn’t lock in place. I suppose it’s not so bad when working on smaller cakes, but I nearly had a heart attack when my 3 tier swung to the side. Luckily I caught it in time!

Disappointed - difficult to prevent tilting
I bought this to aid in decorating my wedding cake and found it was a nightmare to keep flat and prevent from tilting. It would have been better if there was a lock on it which would keep it in position as I was losing control when it was tilting when I didn't need it to.
I ended up having to get my husband hold the frame underneath to stop it tilting and the cake sliding off!

I bought this turntable nit actually for cakes but I’m using it for my pottery painting . It’s brilliant , good value and washed up well .

Very handy
Only reason this does not get a 5 star, is the tilting option.
Basically you twist the middle and it will tilt, I generally chose not to use this, unfortunately occasionally it slips and ends on a tilt which is terrifying when you have a very heavy cake. A locking mechanism would be nice

Circle of Baker Life
As a home Baker, I tend to just make do with whatever is in the house for a stand, but how amazing it is to have a turntable is life changing, I can not tell you! The cake is easy to maneuver while icing and you don't have to crane your neck trying to see behind any angle or pieces of fondant! The mechanism is smooth and the angle is steady with no sliding at all. A must have for every bakers kitchen
