Unicorn kit
It’s a lovely idea, but far too fiddly for an 8 year old. Lots of stop start sewing that was very frustrating. An awful lot of bits and pieces with confusing labelling to be attached here, there and everywhere. One cranky aunt, one disappointed niece.

Disappointing
The instructions were complicated ( back stitch recommended which leaves a messy reverse) . I sorted things out but in my opinion not so easy for a child.
The felt was cheap and flimsy and pulled away from the stitches. There was only just enough thread provided. The finished product was NEVER going to look like the illustration!

Very poor quality
Terrible quality, the felt is so thin it easily tears, the thread ripped through the holes when stuffing the unicorn, only just enough thread to sew it up with not allowing for any errors, very disappointed with this product and a disappointed 9 year old. The instructions are hard to follow and overly complicated.

Unicorn sewing kit
The unicorn sewing was quite challenging for my 8 year old niece and she needed lots of help and encouragement!
We used a running stitch instead of a backstitch.
She was pleased when she had finished it and gave it to her mum as a Get Well Soon gift while she was in hospital.

Clearer instructions
Instructions are not clear enough for beginners. Not sure where and how to start. Maybe a video would assust as aimed at young children.

It is a lovely activity but a bit too difficult for my 8 year old granddaughter. Too many instructions to follow. We have put it away for the future.
My granddaughter was very excited to do this. I think age 9 to 10 would be more appropriate,
Lovely package but too complicated.
