Shesto Composi Mould 480ml

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reusable mould is a great idea I make bespoke chocolates so having a reusable moulding compound radically reduces the cost to the customer over having to use liquid silicone. However, making the master is proving problematic as clay/dough goes sticky and is difficult to remove. You cannot wash the resudue out as the mould is water soluble. If however you want to cast from a model (eg a car, a model dog etc,) it works amazingly well

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product with Specific Uses We bought this product for use with gelatine but discovered it is unfortunately too sensitive to heat to mould chocolate or anything as warm or warmer. It melts and loses its shape if you do. However, this has been great for moulding cooler things, such as juice cubes in the freezer or icing shapes. It's a good product with a very specific use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Product instructions wasn't enclosed Staff support was great at explaining how to use the product as no instructions was enclosed. Not having instructions was disappointing and I feel that it needed them for people to use the product correctly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quick and easy to use This is the first time I have used this product and it is so much quicker and easier to use than traditional latex mould making. Two minutes in the microwave and it is ready to pour into your mould. It sets in under an hour and when the mould is finished with, it can be reused over and over again. It can leave a slightly dull finish to your casting. Expensive but well worth the investment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing product Already used this stuff a few times in the last week! Easy to handle and great quality! Just check which resin you use, as theres some stuff that gets too hot and makes the mold melt!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but takes some practice Good product, although quite pricey and a bit trickier to master than I was expecting. Unfortunately there are no instructions on the outside packaging so you don't know until after purchase that the spray to help remove from the object you are molding is recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from bit expensive , more tool than consumable used with Plasticine, wax ,and platinum cure silicone, the temperature of composimold can melt some wax forms, the wax comes to the surface as bubbles so the material is not damages, did not have distortion issues with plasticine, .the stuff did stick to my stainless steel milk jug(not polished on inside) platinum cure silicone is happy to cure in this material, no release agent was used.. 2.5 mins in microwave got it plenty hot, does not heat evenly , recomment jam thermometer, and allow the heat to even out, it really holds the heat ,there is plenty of working time. the instructions are all in odd units, grams and Celsius are alien concepts. looking online there is a bigger pot size, and the stuff come in 2 hardnesses ,this is the softer version.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely fantastic and a good price too Absolutely fantastic and a good price too, very easy to use with fantastic results, but if ya do go wrong just re-melt it and use it over and over and over again, endlessly.......your only limit is your imagination, you'll be looking at everything differently and searching for what to mold next !!!
