An excellent depiction of the SAS jeep
First thing I have to say is I love this kit so much I have bought 3 for a future project and may increase it to 4 :) The kit itself is an excellent model of the SAS jeep used by David Stirlings men during the desert campaign of WW2. The casting is excellent with only small amounts of work in cleaning up sprue connection points. Their is no visible flash that requires attention. The molding is fine and the level of detail is exceptional. The kit comes with 2 figures and a host of weapons and materials required for long missions in the most harsh conditions of the desert. If you are interested in the SAS regt and want a great kit to depict them then this will tick your box nicely as will the price for such a stunning little kit. Go on..buy it :)

Good starting point
Bought this as a first foray into 1:35 for a week on holiday.
I would definitely consider this a good base model to scratch build and modify. There are a couple of details missing (such as the bonnet latches) which ought to be there really but there is a lot of scope to scratch build your own details and modify for authenticity.
Also you will need to make the condenser smaller as it is about double the size it should be!
A fun build with lots of scope for personalisation and loads of spare parts.

Highly detailed easy assembly
Tamiya have a reputation for producing model kits that are easily assembled and highly detailed. This kit is no exception and has been manufactured to a high standard. The detailing is excellent and the various parts fit together very smoothly and seamlessly. Once the basic jeep is assembled, there are many accessory parts to be added on and can be placed where you wish. You can therefore make the kit in your own individual way and put your own personal stamp on it. Enjoy!

Great model for such a small price.
I bought the model for some airbrush practice, and something different for the usual 28mm I paint.
The kit is very detailed, with 3 build options and lots of extras to bring the kit to life. The individual Jerry cans are great fun to paint.
Only criticism is the detail on the crew. There's not much depth to the facial features or exposed skin. Not a major issue, I'm more familiar with 28mm character painting.

this is a very good value kit. This style of S.A.S. jeep has been a star in a television show. It is a joy to make. take your time and very good results are made .There are enough parts to make one jeep, but a number of styles. I suggest getting two kits, and by using the parts make two very different loaded or armed jeeps.
