Tamiya: A superb product.
As per the title, a superb product from a renowned plastic model kit manufacturer. Anyone reading this will no doubt be aware of the company and its reputation so here's my experience of Hobbycraft:
I would never normally buy a kit from such a store... But despite the fact that there is a Hobbycraft on my doorstep almost it was the superb staff that in all honesty swayed me. Ok, you can buy cheaper via the internet but the staff were so helpful, polite and cheerful I didnt mind paying a couple of pounds extra, I didnt have to wait for shipping etc I took the model home which I can't do when buying online. The other fact to consider is that by buying from local stores you are helping to keep them open and in business. Hobbycraft would you please consider expanding your range of Plastic Model Kit range please, preferably some more Tamiya 1/35th scale vehicles as I have already bought almost your entire stock range. Tamiya Panther
This is a very old kit and was made for motorisation so a bit of filling and sanding to do. The scale is a bit over what it should but as a static model it's ok

Tamiya Panther
Another of the older Tamiya kits but for the price it is hard to beat for a 1/35 Panther model.
The only downside to the model built straight out of the box is that you can see right through the engine grills and out above the tracks, I fixed this with some plastic sheet glued underneath the hull and glued some mesh from an old tealeaf strainer under the grills. There is an extra grab handle in the kit that is not mentioned in the instructions but pictures from the internet shows this handle should be glued to the hatch on the rear of the turret.
Overall this was a straightforward and fun model to build and I'd happily make another one. I made a diorama base and mounted the tank with a set of Tamiya Panzergrenadiers that were also bought from Hobbycraft at the same time.

its a well detail kit of the panther tank, it comes with a commander figure and a driver figure, it can be built with added detail like side fitted armour plates, if you want to or not, it comes with nice decals for the version that you build.

Good Quality Product and Value for Money
The Panther kit is made of an egg-shell finish Beige coloured plastic,which possibly wouldn't need a lot of painting to look finished. It has two crew figures in the same plastic that would need paint to look realistic. The track wou7ld also need paint as it is made of simple black flexible plastic strips, not separate links. Also the wheel / suspension system is easy to build. The interior is not visible, but the hatches can be open or shut. It is a very quick and easy kit to build and finish.

Good model and easy to follow instructions.
I bought this for my grandson who enjoyed making the model. The instructions were clear and comprehensive.
