Excellent quality.
I am still in the process of building this model as I getting back into modelling after about 25 years and am taking my time to prime, paint etc. However this kit represents excellent value for both beginners and more accomplished modellers. The parts are nicely moulded and detailed, instructions are clear, although I did have to ask a friend about paint codes and mixing (custom colours. All in all very happy kits in the Tamiya range are 30 pounds-ish so this represents great value.

The NSR500 is a iconic bike and has the great Tamiya build quality you come to expect ,a added bonus of this model is that there is a transparent fairing to use if you decide to show of the detailed engine internals

Overall good, quality lacking in bodywork
On the whole, a good kit. Easy to follow. I'd say some bike knowledge is required to make the assembly task easier. The bodywork quality of this kit is not as good as a previous Tamiya purchase, doesn't quite meet up where it should which makes putting together difficult but for the price, you can't grumble! Great beginner to modelling

Bit dated now compared to the new Tamiya bikes. Very much an older kit but still well worth building.
Just watch the transfers you need loads of micro sol to get them to sit down flat. Better option would be mask and spray.
