Excellent value kit
Although there may be more accurate or highly detailed models of the legendary jeep, this Tamiya kit more than holds its own, despite being first released as long ago as 1997.
Far easier to build than the Bronco example, it’s only really the recent Takom version which has surpassed it. However this will still build quickly into a very satisfying model of the little go anywhere, do anything, Jeep, and for a fraction of the cost of its more modern counterparts.
Probably the only notable omissions are the bonnet/windscreen “T” latches which can be added from wire, plastic rod or spares from a Takom kit. Highly recommended.

Bit expensive but worth it
Seems a bit expensive for a Jeep but the quality of the kit makes it worth the cash. The parts are very well moulded and unlike many other kits the basic body section is one piece and everything adds into this so no wonky misalignment of the chassis or wheels. The driver figure is well moulded and overall the kit builds up to a fine model for a diorama or just stand alone. 5 paint & decal options are included so lots of scope for my imagination.

Tamiya 1/4-ton Willys mb jeep
it builds into a good model of an American jeep that seen action in ww2, included in the kit is figure and 3 different front bumper options depending which vehicle you build, it comes with a decal sheet for 5 different options for you to choose from, and 2 weapons options for you to add to the model.

not a starter set
I have not attempted this as yet. I knew it would be small and have small parts. I was not ready for how many and intricately detailed they would be. You will need a sharp craft knife or scalpel, I would also recommend tweezers and those "extra hands with magnifying lens".

Worth the money
Although this kit is quite pricey for it's size, the quality is brilliant as is usual from Tamiya. The kit fits perfectly, has accessories and 5 decal schemes- very impressed.

Quality Tamiya Kit
A really satisfying kit to build. Well moulded parts which fit together accurately with a high level of detail, including under the bonnet where a detailed engine is included. Options included to create a variety of different jeep types with tow triangle, mounted machine gun and wire cutter.

This model kit it's a very enjoyable kit to assemble leaving you with a very accurate miniature of the real thing. Would be ideal for a beginner that has built a few kits already
