Less mess and so much easier
I've never wanted to buy this thinking is was just another gadget. I normally put my different coloured buttercreams onto strips of clingfilm, roll them up then place them all together into one large bag. However, the rolls would often burst, or one colour would get stuck. This Wilton kit made the job so much quicker. My piped rosettes were even in colour and texture and the nozzle and attachments were easy to clean up. The kit supplies a 1M and an open round nozzle. I actually used a 2D and it fitted perfectly. Very happy with this purchase, just wish I had bought it years ago!

Pretty results (not so easily) achievable
This icing set is a great way to achieve multi coloured icing swirls without needing to be a skilled baker.
I found it quite hard to assemble though - despite easy to follow instructions. Once you've filled your 3 bags with icing they have to be held together at the nozzle ends and the holding ring screwed over them. It is such a tight fit to get the holding ring fastened over 3 icing bags that this was very hard to do.
Once the ring was in place it was easy to pipe lovely multi coloured swirls and the end result was great.
TIP: Secure each full icing bag with a clip or elastic band whilst you patiently fit the holding ring. (i didn't, but definitely will next time!)

Watch the ‘how to’ video before you start icing
The assembly instructions are very basic. To avoid an icing catastrophe, visit the website mentioned on the box & watch the ‘how to’ video before you start. Once assembled correctly it does make some wonderful, colourful patterns. Make sure your icing isn’t too sloppy otherwise the colours just run.

So easy to use
My icing had a perfect finish on it. When filling the bags I used a tall mug, which made is very easy to use.

Not fit for purpose
If I could rate this zero stars I would.
The worst bit of a kit I have ever purchased.
If you manage to get the contraption together and the bags with a small amount of coloured butter cream in, then I can guarantee the bags will split under the pressure.
I have tried everything to make this work and its utter rubbish. I went back to 3 pipping bags in an outer bag to get the job finished.

Disappointing, cannot recommend.
Very disappointed with this. I followed the instructions (hard to read as the print is so tiny), but this meant you had to screw on the connector with the nozzle over the icing bags, which is impossible as the bags are too thick. The only way to do it was to cut more off the icing bags so the screw threads were exposed and the connector attached. However, once I put pressure on the bag to start piping the icing squeezed out above the connector and the whole thing came apart. A complete mess. I will try again with the second lot of bags, but am not hopeful.
