Gorgeous colour and great to knit with
Really impressed with the quality of the WI Home Grown pure British wool, lovely to knit with, great stitch definition, doesn’t appear to bobble and gorgeous, rich colours. Struggled to find the colour ocre in yarn but this mustard is perfect. Have purchased the wine/plum colour too, would love to see more colours in the range.

W.I. Home grown yarn. Mustard
A much more expensive version of W.I.’s usual wool. Size 8 needles are recommended but this leaves the knitting quite holey. I used size 9, so in order to reach the required length of a pattern, I have needed more wool. I think it will wash and may last but it is quite stringy to knit with. I expected the wool to feel much nicer for the much inflated price.

Beautiful and soft
A beautifully spun natural fibre yarn dyed with a rich mustard colour. This wool is very easy to crochet with and didn't split.
This yarn is very soft to the touch and was perfect for making a winter hat for a child.
I will definitely purchase more Women's Institue wool for future projects.

Lovely colour, great quality
This yarn was really easy to work for my crochet blanket.
If you are wanting something really soft this might not be the right yarn for your project. However it worked well without snagging and the cour is simply indulgent.
This is my go to yarn brand.

Not feltable
I bought this yarn, supposedly 100% wool, for felting. It has resisted many attempts to felt so either has an acrylic or silk content or has been superwashed. I registered a complaint a week ago but no response so far.

Yarn review.
I really love the yarn I bought. However I ball is a different dye lot to the other 5 balls. I bought a sweater quality. I have tried ringing my local store multiple times but they are not picking up.
