Basic kit for a starter
My sister has always been a nurse. She retired just before Covid and rejoined to become one of the army of vaccinators. She
Does huge shifts and is often too tired to talk. I had the family creative gene she she didn’t even bother trying to do any art.
Last week I bought her a fab basic kit all from Hobbycraft: Daler Rowney paint in warm and cool primaries plus black and white, a variety of mixed media brushes in a
Roll, some basic palette knives and some gesso. And card blanks.
Last night for the first time in her life she did a page of playing with paint and mark making with no expectations. We then cut up the result and glued 4 cm squares of her’abstracts’ to the cards.
She was beyond thrilled and said ‘ I can’t believe I’m painting and I’m totally loving it!

Great value..
I'm a hobby artist, very much amateur so love to purchase new brushes and these are fantastic value for money in the half price section!! Just having different types & sizes of brush are perfect for me because I'm still experimenting with them to get different effects. I watch the professionals only using one or two sizes & shape for a whole piece and one day hope to be skilled enough to do that too but for now, I need these, what I call "my rough and large area wash brushes" to produce something!! This brush set does just that and being in the lidded cylinder is excellent for both transportation and tidiness!! Definitely recommend this set especially at half price....

Really good quality brushes for the price
These are a really good set of brushes. Some reviews had mentioned that they shed hair however all or most brushes will shed some hair initially. After an initial wash these didn't shed. They are nice and soft, the heads are not scraggy like some brushes. They are a nice full rounded shape and have a really good range of sizes in the set. Definitely worth the price.
Compared to others that I found in my search for around the same price these are the best.

Great value and quality for the price.
I saw these and straight away I knew they would be good I try pulling at the Brussels on the brushes and none of them came off they are super easy to wash with just water. They are perfect for painting. They looked amazing online but are even better in real life. They are AMAZING quality.

Fab for the money
I run workshops and a creative after school club and need a lot of brushes. These are lovely and soft, handles a little long but for the money they are brilliant and I use the hard tube to store them in between workshops.

Great brush set
I found these better than expected. Sturdy bristles that don't fall out or strand. There is almost every brush you need. Very happy with them.

Good selection for good price.
I got these on a half price deal as an impulse buy. I use the thicker ones to undercoat wash plaster miniatures and some of the smaller ones are great for dry brushing large areas too. Perfect for my needs and pretty good quality brushes in a handy roll up case.

Good beginners brush set
I really like these brushes. Bearing in mind I am a novice at painting I have managed to produce some reasonable artwork using these brushes. I like the roll up holder as well, no more searching for that elusive brush. They haven’t shed any hairs but they haven’t had a huge amount of use as yet. Still giving them 5 stars though because I really do feel comfortable using them.
