Just like pastels
These are really beautifully soft pastel pencils, much nicer to use than others I have tried which I have found scratchy against the paper. These feel just like soft pastels against the paper and blend beautifully. I like that they are chunky pencils too - easier to hold. Pastels without the messy hands! I would love to collect the set.

great pastel pencils. they play well with other brands, charcoal, chalk......
great for adding finer detail in your pastel artworks.
this set has very usefull flesh tones x 2 and x 2 reds. although with alot of layering you could prob complete a portrait purely with this set. youl prob need some additional colours, browns, black & white.

Beautiful pastel pencil set

Pleased with the conte pencils but would have liked a white pencil in the pack
The Conte pastel pencils are very easy to use, they give great control when drawing, far better than pastel sticks

Wonderful Pastel Pencils
The pastel pencils are super soft and wonderful to work with, this particular pack are great for Skintones when working on portraits. They sharpen nicely too with hardly any wastage through breakage. If you love portrait painting is pastel I would highly recommend these pencils.

Product good BUT
The pencils being French do not fit an English pencil sharpener. This means using a knife which is not always safe to use when children are involved.
