Great entry into Amigurumi
Great entry into Amigurumi. Started crocheting a week ago and decided to pick this up as it was only £4 so I figured if it was a bust it was no great loss. Instructions were very clear as long as you knew the basics, but anything I didn't know a quick Google fixed that. The small size hook was fiddly to begin with and the yarn strands came apart at times, but I really enjoyed the project. For a first time, I was very pleased with how it turned out! I could've got away with putting more stuffing in but I'll know for future! For £4, you really can't go wrong.

Disappointing
I think Hobbycraft need to have better Quality Control on place for the products they sell - I also ran out of wool before being able to finish the kit.
I had seen reviews before I started saying others had experienced a shortage of wool, so I went into the project being careful to keep my tension tight and my yarn tails as short as possible - but I'm still 1 hind leg short!
Instructions are clear if you know how to read patterns, but would be challenging for beginners.
If it wasn't for the shortage of wool, this would have been a really nice kit!

Great Kit!
I learnt to crochet with this kit. As a complete beginner the instructions initially made no sense. I had to use youtube videos and google searches to understand them however once knowing the terminology found this kit really easy to do. And I have an elephant which looks like the one on the box.
Unlike the majority of the other reviewers. I had sufficient amount of yarn in my kit. Even used some of additional yarn to sew the parts together more securely.

Two legged elephant :(
Good kit, a very cute elephant. However I did not have nearly enough wool. As a beginner I understand some of it was to loose and I left to much at the ends, however im now missing two legs, there was no where near enough.

Not enough yarn
Bought this to make as a gift, wish I'd read the reviews first!! I also ran out of yarn so I'm two legs and a tail short😩 can't find the yarn anywhere to buy on its own. Waste of time.

Not enough yarn
Not enough yarn which is such a shame. I wasn't able to finish off the trunk and 2 hind legs because of this. Otherwise, nice pattern and instructions

Cute but not for total beginners
Lovely thought, but as a total beginner i found it near impossible to do. I've put it aside until i have gained more understanding of the craft.
