Amazing stuff!
I have a large reel of black cotton that is always use to hem work trousers by hand. It always knots and tangles. I have been spraying it with hair serum before using it, which helped, but this wax absolutely eliminated the problem. I’ve just hemmed two pairs of trousers without one single knot.
Wish I had known about this years ago. Will never be without it again.
Have only used it today, so can’t comment on how long it will last, but while the cotton makes a tiny slit in the wax, it’s not soft enough to make a big difference and the disc will turn inside the plastic holder so I would think it will last long enough to make it good value.

Just use a piece of candle instead.
The above picture does not represent the item I purchased which was a similar-looking disc of wax but in a much flimsier plastic holder. I am disappointed that it is paraffin wax and not beeswax - in fact I only bought it at all because I was in a hurry, away from home and had promised it to someone else as a gift. A piece of household candle would do the job just as well, or a lump of beeswax would be softer and smell nicer. However, it did the job.

Disappointed
It clearly shows and states the wax is in a plastic container which would protect the wax when not in use . On removing it from the blister pack it is just slotted into a very thin piece of card which is not as advertised , very disappointed and certainly not worth the money . Do not recommend this as its a misleading photo and description of the item .
