Hexagon punch for paper piecing
I am sure this is a perfectly good hexagon punch but usually hexagons are measured by the width of one section. This was described online as a 1" hexagon and I therefore expected that the finished width from point to point in the middle would be 2" which is the size I wanted. Unfortunately, when I picked it up from the store I realised that the sides only measured 1/2" and therefore the width in the middle was only 1" which isn't the size I wanted. I therefore took it back to the counter and returned it immediately. Online the punch looked quite big and not like the very small size it actually was so I thought this was misleading, hence I only gave it one star but I am sure anyone who wanted this smaller size would find it adequate for their needs.

Amazing for EPP patchwork templates
This little punch has been a game changer for me. I LOVE doing English Paper Piecing (patchwork), but cutting out tiny hexies from paper was really tedious, as I was needing 100s at a time for projects. But, even more of a pain, it was always so difficult to cut out 100% identical hexies every time. Whether I printed hexies onto copier paper or drew/cut round a plastic template, whenever cutting them out, even just a tiny sliver of paper over/below the line, will then make sewing them all together much more difficult. I was eventually so frustrated with it, I did think of buying them ready cut. Then someone mentioned hexie punches to me!! And Hobbycraft was the cheapest I found online. And....it's amazing! Cuts perfect little hexies EVERY SINGLE TIME!! Unlike me!! It's even got a little tray underneath to catch all your shapes and has markings on the side if you want to make a pattern in papercraft. I can now use all my junk mail for my EPP. The photo attached shows some punched hexies with the highlighter pen for scale. Brilliant little buy, thank you!

Does the job, very satisfied
Does the job, best to take off the plastic cover thingy for successive punches and line them up from underneath, little hard to line them up to make use of their shape for optimal alignment tho (side by side is obviously fine but being hexagons you kinda wanna try and line them up like honeycomb cells to minimise wastage but in practice that's a little hard lol, still very happy

It’s good for what it is. Well made and cuts easily. Good for small projects but not for large decoupage items.
