Fantastic yarn!
Fantastic yarn! I'm very new to crochet and wanted something that was a higher weight so I could see the stitches and learn with a better visibility. This yarn absolutely smashed that goal and works up really well. Great mix of softness and rugged texture, not to mention the colours are bold and vibrant - absolutely addicted to this rainbow palette! Only one of the yarn balls had a little bit of colour transfer in the orange sections which made it a little muddy/spotty in places. Thankfully it didn't matter for the project I was working on, but definitely something to be mindful of if you're working on ombre colour gathering etc.
I'm definitely endeared to the James C Brett brand 👌

Lovely yarn, but KNOTS!
Knits up nicely with a soft feel. Nice bold colours. Sudden change not fade from one colour to the next. Best in short rows (I'm doing 9sts to a row and I get a block of colour about 5cm x 5cm) because the colour lengths are not long. Eg 2.5m Green, 80cm Yellow, 80cm Green, 2.5m Yellow, 80 cm Orange, 80cm Yellow, 2.5m Orange and so on.
Bought three balls, two seem OK so far, but one had FOUR KNOTS! Some only 5m apart and they did not maintain the colour sequence. That was right pain in the bum!

Easy to use
I bought this as a complete beginner to crochet and have managed to use it for practicing basic stitches as well as completing my first project, a beanie hat. The colours are lovely and bright and the feel of the wool is nice and soft. I did find a knot in the one I chosen, like two ends had been tied together midway through the ball which was a bit disappointing but it didn't affect the overall look of my work. Overall I would definatly buy this wool again as the price was prefect and the overall finish was great.

This is bright and cheerful in colour.
I love the colour's on the yarn. But every ball had large join knots (6 balls). I expect it in the odd ball but not all. And they are very noticeable which is a complete shame. As the colour's and how the yarn works up is lovely. Unfortunately I won't order again.

Perfect
I bought this wool as I was looking for a bright rainbow colour to make some slippers for a little girl.
It is a bit thicker than the double knit that the pattern called for but when crocheted into a test square the dimensions were correct so it is the perfect wool for my project.
I recommend this it is easy to crochet with and very soft to the touch.
I have yet to wash it so I cannot tell how it will be afterwards, if it remains as soft or change in any other way.
I believe that it is machine washable (I don’t currently have the information with me) so it should be fine.

James C Brett Wools, love love love
I love all the James C Brett wools, I’ve spent a fortune on the wools and made lots of crochet blankets for family and friends, even a throw for a double bed.
I love the mixed colours, the way they change, and no two items are the same.
I’ve also used the baby knit and the party time wool ( I made my Granddaughter a blanket for her dolls bed) so pretty, she loves the bright colours.
And I’ve also been making Rainbow Blankets and tiny hats for Prem babies, for the baby unit at the hospital.
Hope to purchase some more soon, if not in store then online.

Really soft, great value for money
This yarn is lovely and soft, and being chunky knits up really quick. The colours are really vibrant and being 100% acrylic it’s not irritable to the skin when knitting with or wearing. It’s great value for money too! I’m using this yarn to knit beanies for charity and they’re going down a storm!
