No Pony gallop in this race!
Quite new to the world of crochet but have always been a knitter (40yrs+) and have found Pony knitting needles to be perfectly fine, yet I'm not enamoured with these plastic crochet hooks at all. First it took me a while of rummaging through the stocked displayed to find one that wasn't rough along it's join/seam😞
- and noting it was the same with other sizes. Then once home it still snagged at the yarn🙄 so I ended up gently sanding it with a super fine sanding sponge so as not to cause the plastic to fray and become worse. Clearly a flaw in Pony's manufacturing and quality control - and not of Hobbycraft's making! While the hook's been ok after me fiddling, I'm not happy with it overall as I've basically "fallen out" with it as a result of the faffing from start to finish. To be honest I'm disappointed with the quality and performance of the product and wouldn't recommend their plastic crochet hooks at all. Their metal ones (sadly only available in small sizes) are far superior and totally fit for purpose. Pony definitely need to re-evaluate these plastic ones though!

Too short!
The actual hook is a bit too short compared to the handle. So when using thick wool, it is difficult to crochet with this hook.
