Very Good but.....
I recently bought a sewing machine and received excellent assistance from one of the staff at my local branch. What persuaded me to buy from Hobbycraft rather than somewhere else were the posters telling me I could book online for sewing workshops. However, when I went online, my local branch was not even listed. It took three telephone calls, one to the branch and two to customer services to get me on "the waiting list" for the workshop and I still don't know how long I will have to wait. I am disappointed. I'm a beginner and feel I can't really start learning my new hobby until I can attend those workshops.

Dottie Angel pattern is ideal for this Dotty Angel
I love the quirky design on the Dotty Angel dress which is ideal for customising to create your own look. The next one i will do a higher neckline. Unusually the back and front are exactly the same save sewing the shaping. I only put one pleat on the tie section as i found the fit more comfortable for me. As you can see from the photos i added applique to the bottom section, you will have to zoom in to see the wording on the bottom section. Also next time i will do french seams rather than adding strips of fabric to cover the raw seams as the pattern calls for

Brilliant pattern
I love this pattern because there are so many different ways the dress/smock can be made up.
Its easy to follow and pretty quick to make.

Fabulous styling
This dress has such great styling with many size options. As usual Simplicity provide very comprehensive sewing instructions. This review would have been 5 stars but the pattern price means making your own clothes is quite expensive.

High end high street lookalike
I bought this pattern when hobbycraft had their sale on, it’s lovely once made up. Don’t be put off by the taping of all the seams, it really does make a great difference to the finish. My friend looked at it in wonder, when I had finished it, and guess what the first thing she did was lift the hem to see the finish, it is impressive, she was very impressed. All in all a lovely garment, and of course an original ;-)

Just what I've been looking for
I spotted this dress on social media a year ago and never imagened that I'd find a pattern for it. I'm thrilled.
After the non essential shops have reopened I shall enjoy choosing my fabrics in shades of blue and white.
