Make sure they’re square!
I love that hobbycraft does this size of canvas, and after a few coats of additional primer, they are a joy to paint on and at a reasonable price too. However, I always take a set square with me now as I have had far too many that are not square and I have only noticed when I’ve started priming them, meaning I am unable to return them.
Please can you do better quality control on these? They’d be an excellent product otherwise!
Because I frame them in a floating frame, even if they’re a millimetre out it’s really obvious..

Just what I needed
As a Registered Childminder for Fathers day we are making a keepsake and needed these canvasses, when we got to store we were amazed at the various sizes they had, we have made a start and the keepsakes are looking great. Have since been back and bought more and because of the choice have thought of another activity for the children to do, so will be back again soon to buy even more.

Nice but sags
This is a good little canvas but when you paint on it, it sags. If you spray the back with water, it tightens up again but after awile, it gets loose again. I don't know if it is because I didn't use gesso this time or what. I am going to do another painting on the other one I bought but I will treat the canvas first next with gesso.

Canvas very loose.
Cute size but canvas very loose on all 4 that I purchased. So much so it’s affected the finish as the surface isn’t completely flat.
Fine for a fun project with kids but not much else.
As they are small, I couldn’t see the extent of the stretch or lack there of under the label and cello wrap.
I wouldn’t purchase again.

A lovely size
I was immediately attracted to this product because of its compact shape and size.Easy to convey simple designs. On a previous visit to Hobbycraft I purchased just one of this product but because I liked it so much I went on to purchase 5 more, in the most recent visit.

Excellent
I paint using acrylics and, so often, you can't scrape away evidence of your minor disasters. This little block was great. Apply. Scrape. Reapply. I am pleased with my finished piece and will be investing in more blank canvasses - bigger next time!

Great product, just what I wanted and at a price I like!
These picture canvases were for a project that I have been slowly working towards for some time, and now that I am ready these were the final purchase. The canvases were just what I needed and at a price I like - and the project went well!

Great little project
I bought this canvas for my kids to be able to make some valentines crafts. Absolutely brilliant. So versatile with the materials I could use with it. They had a blast. Would definitely buy again for a little project.
