A good introduction to model making
Whilst this may be an old kit, released way back in 1971, it still manages to excel in terms of detail and part fit; some parts may require very slight corrections but the moulding in general is good.
The ease of building this kit makes it ideal for anyone who is new or returning to the hobby, the kit also provides multiple painting suggestions and decal options (paints and glue aren't included with the product however Hobbycraft also seem to stock the full range of Humbrol, Revell and Tamiya paints).
Overall this is a great build, especially for beginners, and excellent value for money.

Excellent kit at a bargain price.
I bought this kit when I was at a loose end and looking for a hobby, I built models as a kid but that was a very long time ago, around the same time that this kit was first produced in 1971.
The kit was easy to put together with a surprising amount of detail for its age and was a tremendous amount of fun, in fact it got me back into modelling again in a big way. The figures are a bit dated but they were good enough to practice different painting methods and I was happy with the results. I will be buying another one soon as I would like to do one in Panzer grey.

Value for money Tamiya Panzer II
Easy to build, accurate Panzer II. once built and painted it looks the part, well it is Tamiya, the only down side are the Africa Corps infantry that come with the tank, they need a Lot of cleanup, with prominent mould lines and release pin marks & single pose figures, but the plus point is you get them for free with a very cheap tank, so any negative is outweighed by their positives :-)

Tamiya Panzer Kampfwagen II Ausf. F/G Model Kit 1:35
This kits tooling was first released in 1971. Back in a time when Radio control or adding motors and batteries to your model was a part of modelling.
A basic kit but one that has stood the test of time. Easy to build with a low part count. Tracks are rubber based.
The kit comes with figures but if you use them I would suggest you do the Afrika Korps version as they are wearing shorts.

Great little kit
I bought this to get me back into armour model making. A simple build with everything fitting well. A few parts needed the flash cleaning from them. I used photos of a real Panzer II at Bovington to help me get things right. The figures that come with it are a great extra for the price. A little challenging to paint as research is needed for the right colours to use. Some people buying this kit from other retailers have complained of the decals and even instructions being "censored". None of that here I'm glad to say. I'm very happy with my kit.

very nice little kit
At a shade under £10 this is a good introduction to 1/35 tanks. The parts of the tank are crisply moulded. Painting instructions are a little vague but humbrol 83 is a good start for desert schemes.

A quick, small kit that's not lacking detail.
A quality kit with a short construction time, excellent value for money and a lot of nice touches. A alternate turret, single length tracks and a handful of soldier models for dioramas make the tank dynamic and attractive when painted.
English instructions dripping with historical detail makes the small kit a delight to build
