Painted Butterfly Canvas

How to make it

1. Paint the canvas including the sides with the acrylic paint and leave to dry.
2. Meanwhile cut plenty of butterfly shapes from the coloured papers. Use your thumbnail to crease each butterfly's wings upwards.
3. Cut a few 10cm lengths of the wire and thread a seed bead on one end until it sits about 2.5cm from the end, fold the wire over and twist. Repeat with the other end, then fold in half.
4. Glue these 'antennae' to the reverse of a few (or all if you wish) of the paper butterflies and leave to dry.
5. Using a pencil and a small plate, lightly draw a circle guide on the canvas.
6. Start to attach the butterflies by placing a dot of glue on the body only and continue until the circle is filled.
7. Once completely dry, your canvas is ready to hang.
