Tapestry Crochet

Colour changes are made with the last yo of the previous st. The yarn colour not currently being worked should be carried behind the sts, as sts are worked over the top. Gently pull the non-active yarn before changing colour to ensure that all yarns lay flat within the work.

It is not necessary to carry yarn B to the end of each row. Yarn B should be released to the WS of the work once the final stitch of that colour has been made in each row. It will then be picked up again in the following row and carried within the stitches until needed.

When working the tapestry crochet charts, odd number rows (RS) are worked from right to left and even number rows (WS) are worked from left to right.

Finishing

Lay piece flat with WS facing up, measure 18cm (40 rows) from the bottom and fold towards the middle.

Measure 37cm (81 rows) from the top and fold towards the middle. There should be an overlap of approx. 15cm.

Pin the side seams and sew along the side edges, ensuring that all three layers of crochet fabric are attached together in the overlap section.

Weave in all ends and insert cushion pad.
