Design 1 Step 1

Use a damp sponge (not wet) to shade the cheeks in pink and yellow. Layer this with simple petals in white and lilac.

Design 1 Step 2

When you’re happy with the base, it’s time to add some detail. Use a fine brush to outline the petals. Here I outlined with yellow and blue.

Keep going with the fine detail, dotting the centre of the flowers until you are happy and adding flourishes with green paint. A black outline can make the main flower stand-out

Add a floral headband and let the party begin!

Design 1 Step 4

Now you have a fun festival look that will look amazing on children and adults of any age!

Design 2 Step 1

Use a damp brush, (not wet), to lightly outline the floral design. It looks wonderful on the forehead and the cheek. Keep it simple- you can add more detail later. Here it’s great to add in a few different shades of petals.

Design 2 Step 2

Using the same technique, some detail with a fine brush and black paint to make some of the petals stand out.

Then use a new brush to make the little yellow dots to really bring the look to life and add some detail. How about adding in simple little bees at this stage?
