Great silicone mould for creating Chocolates
I am an Artisan at Hobbycraft and I was asked to test this new silicone 15 well mould.
With the mould I created a batch of 15 white chocolates. These are decorated with tiny pink fondant butterflies with a plunger set, I was also testing. I was impressed with the thickness and quality of the silicone. It is not rigid however so I used a tray underneath to move the mould once I had poured the chocolate in. Demoulding was very easy, just push through from the underneath. Surface of the chocolates was very smooth and had a polished shiny appearance. The design is unusual and has a geometric slant in the centre. I think it has a very Art Deco looking design. I was very impressed with how the chocolates came out. They would make beautiful wedding favour or special occasion chocolates as a gift. These are definitely more suitable for chocolate and sweet making, rather than baking, as the wells are less than 2cm across. Clean up was very easy, I put in dishwasher top rack and mould came out perfect. Overall very impressed and would definitely recommend.
