A massive downgrade
I have brought probably over 100 of these boxes over the years but my latest delivery of them was just awful. The old boxes weren't perfect, but with a bit of prep, you could make them work. The new ones are so flimsy and cheap looking. They don't have the hinge on the inside of the box anymore and the back hinges don't seem like they will hold up. It seems.that hobbycraft will be sticking with this style of box so I will be looking elsewhere to purchase a similar sized box. Do better hobbycraft, selling a subpar product for the same price.

Awful! PLEASE BRING BACK ORIGINAL DESIGN!!!
This box is a replacement design for the long standing wooden boxes I have used for my pyrography business. To say that it is inferior is putting it mildly. This box looks cheap because it is. No wood grain, looks unfinished on the inside, very difficult to burn.No use to me whatsoever, I will now be shopping elsewhere.

Worse than the old ones
The look of these is worse than the old ones, there is also no support on the lid and feels like the hinges could easily break. I personalise these and sell them as a product and i'm dissapointed that these are the replacement for the old ones and will have to look elsewhere for a suitable replacement

Inferior to old style
These are so inferior to the old style of boxes. I used to buy these annually for Christmas Eve box making, but the ones I have purchased this year are of appalling quality. The finish is full of flaws, and needs sanding and filling before painting. I won’t be buying any more.

New style is awful please bring old ones back !
Please please please bring back the original box,
They are so much better looking than the current box’s, don’t understand why you have changed the style, I have purchased the old style on many different occasions in store. Came in store the other night to get two more and these ones are there why they look awful. If the style doesn’t get changed back I will be forced to shop elsewhere.

Awful quality
I don't like to leave negative reviews but i just had to for these boxes as they are just awful quality. Please bring back the previous style ones. I recently ordered some and had to get replacements sent of them. To be fair hobbycraft customer services are fantastic and I can't fault them as they sent replacement out very quickly, but please bring back the previous style boxes!

Cheap looking
Bought many times previously however the box is now a thin cheap white box.
No grains and just looks cheap.
Will have to look elsewhere now.

Poor in comparison
Really dissapointed that the old ones have been removed, these are poor in comparison maybe for the £5 deal I could see why they were worth it. Unfortunately unless your painting or wrapping the box these are poor as the wood is poor quality and the old ones were much nicer even though they had there issues they were amendable. I hope they consider bringing back the old ones even if they are sold alongside these. Wouldn't recommend.
