Good result - bit fiddly
My wife and I bought this and the turtle for a date night. My dinosaur was missing the dark green coloured tiles. A quick trip back to hobbycraft (luckily for us only 10 minutes away) and they changed it no problems. The small plastic tiles are a bit fiddly to move, once it is on the sticky it’s hard to move position. We used ordinary kitchen scissors to cut the pieces to size, with varying success. We put the scissors into a bag and then cut because otherwise the tiles flew everywhere. Ended up leaving then overnight to dry as it was nowhere near ready after 45 minutes.
Overall a fun project for two adults. Happy with the results.

Not enough materials to complete the tile
My grandson chose this to make during half term holiday. There were only enough of the blue tiles to make half of the blue background, he was disappointed as he couldn’t complete the tile and felt let down. Also, the instructions say that the plastic tiles can be cut with scissors, well they can’t, I couldn’t even cut them with a Stanley knife. A very disappointing kit and would not recommend. I would have taken it back to the store, but it’s a 30 minute drive away

very hard to cut the pieces and not enough colours supplied.
The instructions say to cut the pieces with scissors. The pieces are very small and for younger fingers cutting these pieces is not an easy task without risking cutting fingers. The pieces are plastic and absolutely do not cut easily. The only way to do it was to put the piece right into the top of the scissors and force a split in the plastic gradually, but I had to do it inside a carrier bag because when the piece finally splits the pieces flew across the room. Cutting the pieces was very hard.
I also found that I ran out of blue pieces for the sky when I was only about a quarter of the way through the sky.
I had an excess of every other colour too. I had to improvise and amend the picture in order to actually finish the mosaic.
I can imagine this will be very disappointing were a child to make this mosaic and run out of the necessary colours. A previous reviewer noted this did happen. I am disappointed that something as basic as providing an appropriate amount of necessary coloured pieces hasn't been considered.

Limited instructions
Thought I’d make this as a Boxing Day project, sadly the instructions are poor. I expected to find small tiles to fill the angles but they’re all square. It doesn’t tell you that you need an additional tool to cut, which according to other reviews it does. Obviously some people read that you can use scissors, mine makes no mention at all of any cutting!

Fun kit for kids
This is great for kids. However with the one we picked up there were not enough blue tiles to complete the sky so we ended up having some large spaces between them and lots of grout! We did however have amply green tiles left over as there were way too many. If the correct amount of tiles had been in the kit it would get 5 stars!

Nice..but
Purchased a couple of these for my 8yr old to do, quite fiddling for a child to do on their own, definitely needed adult help to do. And need cutters to cut tiles which were out of stock both online and in store so had to ad-lib to complete.

Great for little ones
My grandson apsalutly loved this. Easy to construct and educational, without him knowing. Thought he could do this in holidays. He loves this. He can't wait to do more.

Not a beginner's project
I thought this would be a beginner's mosaic but you need to cut the fiddly plastic tiles to make it fit properly. It did not work out well and ended up in the bin!
