Excellent value and lovely to knit with
I broke my Achilles' tendon last September, was very bored and decided to take up aran knitting, something I hadn't done for at least twenty years, my friend drove me to hobbycraft and I bought my first batch, excellent value aran yarn, my first garment was for my husband, he loves it, says it's the best sweater he's ever had, it's been washed at least twenty times, it comes out of the washing machine, wool cycle, onto a hanger and looks like new again, I'm now onto my eights aran, such good value for money and knits up really well, thank you for an excellent value yarn, and for quick delivery, I don't have a hobbycraft near my new home so order by Internet, one very happy customer

However, one ball had a paper sleeve but the other didn't - It looked the same so I hope it is, but I couldn't check the batch numbers. This should be rectified - when knitting you have to have matching batch numbers because of slight variations in colour that are not obvious until you have knitted everything up! I also think hobbycraft need to sort out some kind of paper bags for small items like loose buttons and lace lengths. I bought cream 400gm balls of wool - and had brought a bag especially, but instant decision purchases are unlikely if things are not wrapped in anything to protect them from the other things bought or losing them on the way home!

Excellent all rounder
I’ve used this wool for a number of different projects, it works well with all colours, can be a bit rough on the fingers if you’re working for a long period of time but once washed it is beautifully soft. A staple for my box!

Wool ball size
Wool is fine but find 400g very cumbersome in use. Would have preferred 200g or even 100g size. Very busy life so not wanting to spend time winding off into smaller more convenient balls.

My experience with this lovely shop
Ever since I discovered this fantastic craft shop, I have been in my element.
I am in the learning process of knitting and have bought many balls of wool and have been totally happy
My son of 36 years old who is badly epileptic enjoys your paints for cloth, canvas and air brushing!

Lovely to knit with
These 400 g balls are great value for money. I am knitting a longish jacket in an aran pattern and have nearly finished the back and still have a large part of the ball left. I have not had one knot in the yarn so far. I love the shade which is a beautiful cream colour. I will buy more of this yarn definately when this project is finished.
