Great gesso, works perfectly for my art journal!
The price is definitely worth it, and it really does dry clear, unlike other brands I've tried in the past (usually end up kind of cloudy looking)

I am trying paint by numbers because of lockdown. This product prepares the painting surface perfectly without blocking out the numbers!

Use transparent gesso for soft pastel painting.
Using Liquitex professional clear gesso allows me to coat many different surfaces to provide texture to accept soft pastels. I am able to use water based underpainting and line before laying down the transparent gesso before pastel painting. I used smaller pack quantity initially because i wanted to prove the process but no worries after my first use. I have even rescued previously satisfactory design but wrong choice of media work. Very satisfying.

Did the trick.
This is the first product of this sort I have purchased, and the result was better than I had expected. I used it on wood, and it dried completely clear and left a fine grainy texture to help the paint adhere to the surface - which was particularly helpful when using watercolours.

Does the job well
I found this easy to use having never used gesso before. It sealed regular cardboard well for painting with acrylics. Bear in mind recommended 24hr drying period though (although I ignored this and cracked on after 20mins). Does the job well. Good price.

Bought this product on advice from an on line user. Wow, wish I'd known about it before. What a difference to my paintings. Will be using all the time now, and purchasing from hobby craft as usual.
