Medium range spinner
I like that this spinner is small, however you still need to pull for it to spin if you just use the yarn as bought. If you turn your yarn into a cake, it works ok.

really helpful when you just want to get on with a project and not need to stop to chase the yarn around but sometimes the yarn does get caught on the gap at the bottom

An invaluable piece of kit.
So useful. Whatever did I do without one of these? It keeps the ball of wool in one place. There is less friction than keeping the wool in a bag so it is easier to pull the wool while working. It wasn't quite as freely moving at the start when the ball of wool was full but I was using large balls of wool on my most recent project. May be a bit pricey for such a simple piece of kit but it is made of good quality wood and smoothed and varnished so as not to snag the wool. I would definitely recommend it to those who knit or crochet a lot.

It just doesn't work for me
I don't know why, but it just doesn't work for me! I've tried everything, but when the wool is sitting on itself, how can it release itself without falling over? Maybe if I glued it to the floor and had it 3 metres away, but no, not what I needed at all.

Doesn't work properly
Mine came with two of the pieces unglued from each other so I had to glue them back together myself. It does the job but the yarn keeps getting caught and the base is too lightweight so if you tug on the yarn the whole thing moves forward rather than what it should do- spin so that the yarn unwinds. It does work better with small cakes of yarn and if you blue tac/stick it to the table there is no spinning issue.

Super useful
Sooooo useful, definitely a must have. Stops me messing about with yarn vomit from center pulls. Yarn does occasionally get stuck in the bottom but nothing major you've just gotta give it a little tug

Great product if like me you have dogs who attempt to run off with yarn! Keeps yarn in the correct place so no need to faff around with it whilst knitting. Useful purchase

Great little gizmo
This is ideal for your smaller balls of yarn, i have a larger one of these which fits 200g balls, this is great for 50/100gms. lovely wood. Very pleased with my purchase.
