Product description

German Pzkpw Iv Ausf D Set recreates the Panzer IV series that was developed in the early 1930s as the next step in the evolution of German armour. It was established as a highly armoured support tank armed with the 75mm L/24 gun that could fire high explosive, armour piercing or smoke rounds.

The kit represents the early version of the Panzer IV moulded in medium grey plastic. This kit is perfect for a gift for any passionate model enthusiast or perhaps a project for you. Build and paint this kit and position to recreate the life-like scene

Tamiya Panzer Kampfwagen IV Ausf.D Model Kit 1:35 is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from A well priced classic Though tooled in the late-1970's, this early-war Panzer' IV kit remains very respectable for detail. Originally an R/C model, there are three small vent holes in the underbelly, but these are easily filled if needed, in contrast to many contemporaries. Overall a very satisfying kit, that compares well with other 35th kits of far higher price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good - but difficult turret section Pro's: Usual Tamiya high quality - no flash, Excellent fit Excellent detailing Detailed instructions Usual multi - type options Con's: Turret gun section fitting very difficult to figure out from instructions. Had to go to Youtube to learn how to fit properly. Old tooling Overall: You know when you buy Tamiya you are getting a high quality well - tooled model. This one does not disappoint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good choice for a present Purchased this for my father in law. He was very pleased and very much looking forward to putting it together. It’s a generous size so good value for money and looks like it’s well made.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Detailed The Panzer IV Aus. D is one of Tamiya some vintage kits dating from the 1970's, as such the level of tooling is lower than expected of comparable models of the day from other manufacturers. However the level of detail on the kit is superb, enjoyable build as always from Tamiya and for the price you'd be hard pressed to find a similar standard. Two possible variants can be made, the DAK Panzer IV which includes the turret stowage bin and jerry can rack, and the typical Blitzkreig version used in the French, Polish and Balkan campaigns.
