Lovely soft wool but...
This is the second time I have bought wool from West Yorkshire Spinners and although it is ok I found that the ply isn’t consistent. I have been using 4ply for socks and some of the yarn is quite thick in places and also very thin - not want you want for a sock especially as I was knitting the heel when I come to the thin part.

The best of the best
West Yorkshire Spinners yarns are really superb. Their signature sock is probably the best of them - and this colourway really IS the best of the best. Lovely gentle colours, great stitch definition, and it makes incredibly soft and hardwearing socks <3

Great sock yarn!
I am new to sock-knitting and wanted a new yarn for my second attempt, so that I can make a pair for my sister. The colours in this are gorgeous. It is soft yet durable, has a lovely handle and will make a super gift. Can't wait to get started!!

Perfect for socks
Chose this yarn for my first attempt at socks and am really pleased. It’s a soft handle yarn with good stitch definition and doesn’t split. The full range of colours not available in store but sufficient to make a good choice.

Fabulous colours
Been making Zick Zack scarves for Xmas gifts over lock down which requires multi coloured wool. Very pleased to see some WYS available as such a high quality British product. Hope to see more shades available soon!

Another great sock wool
I learnt to knit socks during lockdown. This wool is lovely and tactile, great to knit with. Wears and washed well. Like the patternation it creates. Lovely warm feet in socks made with this wool.
