Product description

Every person is unique, and in How To Draw Portraits you'll find the skills to draw each person's unique facial features – from expressions to wrinkles. This book also features tips on drawing accessories, like spectacles and hats.

The How to Draw series takes a highly visual and practical approach to drawing, featuring step-by-step instructions for each art project. Duotone lines highlight each step. Each title includes information on the drawing materials you can use and where to use them most effectively. Pencil, pen, crayon, paints and charcoal and more are all covered in detail.

The series covers a comprehensive range of rudimentary techniques, with sections on materials, composition and perspective. The How To Draw series is an excellent way to introduce the concepts of drawing to children and adults alike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Face and head This has helped me get so much better instead of just drawing a face adding it’s features I can now do side views and looking down in different positions. I just love drawing faces and eyes I have now started drawing faces on my mums stair case she loves it. I am so happy I’m not at school so I can do more drawing my teacher cannot wait for me to do more to ache her in September thankyou hobbycraft.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average guide I wasnt expecting much based on the price but there were more of the artist drawing than a guide for you to follow also there are some sketches within this book that is found throughout the series which i felt was a really cheap way of making money and for this reason there was nothing fresh about it but the title. Its a shame because i was really looking for a guide to help me with proportion and this did nothing for me... back to the drawing board for me..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from OK for starters I expected the book to have a little more detail, than it did. Not really for someone serious about learning to draw portraits
