Hi, my name’s Ellie, and I’m an Artisan and Team Leader at Hobbycraft Bath. I dabble in a few different crafts and hobbies, such as digital illustration, SFX makeup, and watercolour painting, but my true passion and specialist craft is crochet, with a specific focus on amigurumi, and Tunisian crochet - I love all things fibre arts and yarn! I’m completely self-taught, write my own crochet patterns, and learnt to crochet over lockdown - I’ve been hooked ever since.

I enjoy hosting a variety of workshops in the store, and helping out with yarny-based questions, but when I’m not at Hobbycraft, you can find me at craft markets across Bristol with my small business, ComerCreates, where I sell crocheted goods and greetings cards!

Juniper and Jasper the Jellyfish

Juniper and Jasper were the first pattern I wrote when creating plushies for my small business. These samples were made using Knitcraft Cotton Blend yarns in Lilac, Purple, and Hot Pink for Juniper, and Light Blue, Bright Blue, and Denim for Jasper.

rustic Farmhouse Pumpkins

One of my best-sellers at markets during autumn are my rustic farmhouse pumpkins. Made using Knitcraft Hug it Out in Paprika, they give off a light cinnamon scent thanks to the cinnamon sticks used for the stems!

Spud the Sasquatch

Spud the Sasquatch is the mascot for my small business, ComerCreates, and he’s made out of Knitcraft Leader of the Pac in Mink and Cream. If you ever visit Hobbycraft Bath, there’s a Spud chilling out in the store.
