Hi, I'm Katie from the Hobbycraft Canterbury store. I am a part-time crochet artist and a university student studying Special Educational Needs and Inclusion. My craft of choice is crochet, which I taught myself just under 3 years ago. I love sharing my passion for crochet with others, and I always encourage those around me to give it a go for themselves! I really enjoy experimenting with different stitches and techniques, however, my favourite type of crochet is tapestry/colourwork, as it allows me to add my own personal twist to projects that I create. I run my own commission service through my Instagram and aim to start selling my creations at craft fairs and conventions in the near future.

Granny Square Overshirt

Made using 3-Ply Cotton yarn, my overshirt design was a hit during my recent holiday to Spain. It's breathable and lightweight, making it a great cover-up piece during the warmer weather. The main design is just a bunch of granny squares, so it’s a perfect beginners project too.

Lavender Bouquets

These lavender bouquets have been quite a hit for me and have been my best-selling product on my Instagram! They make a great gift for all occasions and are completely customisable in terms of what colours can be used. The gift wrap really adds to the beauty of this piece.
