Create a cute family of eggs to adorn the sideboard this Easter, using muted or bright pastel colours to suit your style. Match the characters of your family members or get creative and come up with some new characters of your own!

Step 1
Prepare your base colour paints. Create a pastel shade using three parts white paint and one part colour.
Step 2
Paint each egg a base colour and leave to dry (approx. 30 minutes)
Step 3
Paint each egg with a second coat of paint and leave to dry to ensure the coverage is even.
Step 4
Use a pencil to lightly draw on facial features and the outline of the hairstyle you’d like on each egg.
Step 5
Use the unmixed paint that matches the base colour on each egg, first painting the hair – this will require two layers once again, leaving to dry in between each layer.
Step 6
Once dry, use a black permanent marker to draw over the facial features.
Step 7
Finally, use varying shades of the base colour to add in further details to add to the character of each egg.
