How to Work

You will also need an empty yogurt pot

Step 1

Start by cutting some wolf ear shapes from grey felt.

Step 2

Trim the top off a yoghurt pot. Cut the remaining felt to roughly fit around the yoghurt pot with a bit of overlap. Add glue to the outside of the pot and wrap the felt around it, then trim away the folds. Cut tabs in the overlap, then fold in and glue down.

Step 3

Cut a little nose from black felt and glue to the front of the snout.

Step 4

Add elastic to each side of the snout with a needle, then check the fit and tie to secure.

Step 5

For grandma's hat, cut a circle of white cotton measuring about 40 cm wide. To do this, you can tie string to a pencil, hold the end secure in the centre of the fabric and draw a circle all the way around. Make sure to hold the pencil straight for an even line. Then draw another circle, about 6cm in from the edge of the fabric.

Step 6

Sew a wide running stitch of elastic along this pencil line. Pull the ends of the elastic so that the fabric bunches up. Check the fit, then tie the ends of the elastic to secure.

Step 7

Glue lace trim all the way around the edge of the hat.

Step 8

Glue the wolf's ears onto the hat where the elastic is - remember that the fabric will stretch when on, so put them closer together to allow for this.

Step 9

To make the glasses, bend a pipe cleaner into a small circle. Bend the excess to look like the nose ridge on glasses. Make another circle the same size as the first and attach it onto the nose piece.

Step 10

Attach another pipe cleaner to each side, then check the fit and bend at the ear, twisting the end back on. Cover the glasses in small strips of grey duck tape.
