You Will Need

* DK Yarn - White, Royal Blue, Green, Pale Pink, Silver, Black
* 4mm Crochet Hook
* Scissors
* Yarn Needle

Pattern Notes

Abbreviations:
Dc- double crochet
St- stitch
Ch – chain
Ss- slip stitch
Dc2tog – double crochet 2 sts together

Pattern Note – this pattern is worked in a spiral so it is essential to mark each round.

Unicorn

Body
Using yarn A and 4mm hook start with a magic loop, 1ch, 4dc into ring
Round 1: 2dc into each st (8sts)
Round 2: (2dc in next st, 1dc) 4 times (12sts)
Round 3: (2dc in next st, 2dc) 4 times (16sts)
Round 4: (2dc in next st, 3dc) 4 times (20sts)
Round 5: (2dc in next st, 4dc) 4 times (24sts)
Round 6-13: Dc into each st. 
Fasten off

 

Horn
Using yarn E and 2.5mm hook ch6, ss to 1st ch to join in the round. 
Round 1- 5: 1dc into each st. 
Round 6: (Dc2tog, 1dc) twice (4sts)
Round 7: (Dc2tog), twice (2sts)
Fasten off and thread through top to close the hole. Sew in ends. 
Attach horn to egg cover using photo as a guide.

Hair
Using yarn D and E cut lengths of 12cm
Using your crochet hook and a length of both D and E together, insert your hook through the egg cover where you want to position the hair, wrap the length around the hook and pull through to secure. Using the photo as a guide, repeat this process until you have the desired look.

Using a tapestry needle and black yarn embroider the eyes on using back stitch.

Using yarn A, follow instructions for the Unicorn Egg Cover

Ears
Using yarn A and 4mm hook ch8, ss to 1st ch to join into the round. 
Round 1- 6: 1dc into each st. 
Round 7: (2dc, dc2tog) twice (6sts)
Round 8: 1dc into each st
Round 9: (1dc, dc2tog) twice (4sts)
Fasten off

Using photo as a guide attach the ears to the side of the egg cover.
Using a tapestry needle and black yarn embroider the eyes on using back stitch. Using yarn D and back stitch sew on the nose.

Dinosaur

Body
Using yarn B, follow the instructiosn for the Unicorn


Spikes
Using yarn C and 4mm hook ch8, ss to 1st ch to join into the round. 
Round 1: 1dc into each st
Round 2: (dc2tog, 2dc) twice (6sts)
Round 3: dc2tog to end (3sts)
Fasten off

Using the photo as a guide sew the spikes onto the egg cover starting at the top of the egg and working down the back in a line.
Using a tapestry needle and black yarn embroider the eyes and nose on using back stitch.
