Good product
Masking tape does exactly as you'd hope however I have had some minor issues whilst trying to cut to shape with the adhesive not holding strongly enough

Masking tape
Easy to use and the right size to hold my model together while glue is setting. And to cover parts you don’t want to get different coloured paint on.
