Product description

Use the Italeri Norton Manx 500cc Model Kit to recreate this impressive motorbike.

Norton Motors Ltd was founded in 1898 by James Lansdowne Norton, but it is from 1907, after Rem Fowler won on the Isle of Man TT racetrack, that the sporting tradition of this iconic British brand begins. Between 1930 and 1937 Norton won 78 of the 92 Grand Prix races.

After World War II, expressly created for the competition from which takes its name (Isle of Man TT), the Norton Manx was born. In order to adapt it to the racetrack, it is the first one to opt for a double cradle frame (Featherbed), which, between 1947 and 1954, collects a long line of successes. The legendary single-cylinder Manx 500 was ridden to victory in the Isle of Man TT by the intrepid Geoff Duke, who was awarded for the World Championship in 1950 and 1951.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stunning once Built. This is a Great kit to build, it's very detailed and needs patience. BUT there are a few problems with it! 1. There are two sprues with the rear swing arm and ONLY one is correct so before you paint it check that the arm is 100% even, 2.Some of the tubing is either too long or too short so check these also as i found out the hard way buy following the instructions to the letter. 3.IF you wanted it to roll then it won't as the front wheel jams against the front mudguard hangers and there's no way to solve it without leaving it off, But as a static it's perfect and once completed it is a stunning model.
