Great value
I was fed up with my old metal thimble; it kept falling off and was very cold to boot. I've seen leather ones but they were pretty expensive considering I wasn't sure I'd like them. This was much cheaper so I tried it. I've been very impressed. It is roomy but still stays put because of the elastic. I can wear it for ages without feeling constricted. It resists penetration by the sharpest of my needles. The only quibble is that it can hamper my movements occasionally. But since most of the time I can embroider in comfort wearing it and no longer have a sore spot on my finger from pushing needles through fabric, that's a small price to pay.

Poor quality
Got this since I can't use the metal ones.
It broke down within a week, needle breaking through and sticking my finger, very painful.
I sew a lot, paper piecing, but did not expect it to deteriorate so soon.
Will not purchase this item again.

Okay
I've seen people on TV use this thimble so decided to get one. Its going to take some getting used to! Its comfy to wear, but cumbersome with a needle in hand, needs working in and to be more supple. Still pleased with it.

Purple Wonder
No more needle felting accidents with this purple finger saver. Good fit and the second pocket means I can use it on my thumb too. Thick enough to stop the needles getting to the finger and soft enough to hold the work.

Handy item
I'm going to be doing some hand quilting so thought a quilters thimble might be a good idea. This looks good and fits well with the elastic band. Haven't used it yet though, but I think it will do the job very well.

Leather thimble
It's exactly what I needed to help with sewing tough pieces. A little large for female fingers so likely to slip unless adjusted to fit. Better than sore fingers though
