Rated 5 out of 5 by from I will return After completing a fine art degree over 25 years ago I have worked in a primary school but rarely picked up a pencil during my leisure time. Last week I was asked to do a commission for a work colleague so ordered a pad and some pencils from Hobbycraft. The quality of the paper is exceptional and the pencils have been beautiful to use. I am now considering setting up a part time drawing business after enjoying drawing so much. The products have helped me change the direction in my life hopefully for the better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from overpriced then halved in the sale This is with no doubt a quality product and is cost effective compared to canvas but is by no means as versatile, This is to be expected, after all it's only paper. My only concern with this was the price. In the sale at half price it's a bargain. Savvy shopping will save you pounds on this product which in my opinion is great quality.

Overall the pad is of good quality and will last a long time. Also, as an added bonus - it is a mixed media material which is another reason why it is adaptable - and good for experimentation.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Low cost mixed media paper. I bought this to use with coloured pencils, but found that blending and burnishing caused the paper to disintegrate. That being said, for acrylics and thick mediums it shouldn't be a problem. The low cost makes it ideal for beginners, or for rough sketching. It's nice and thick so shouldn't warp easily either.
