Glass

Schneider pens work beautifully on glass, making any glass bottle a really special gift. You could personalise empty milk bottles, jam jars and all manner of glass items to proudly display in your home.

To recreate our super-cute mini vases -

1. Draw a semi-circle on the bottom of the glass vase on one side and then fill it in, repeat with each side and allow to dry.

2. Add the petals around the edge.

3. Add some lines to the centre to finish.

Fabric

Did you know you can even use paint markers on fabric?! This floral banner could be personalised with a significant date, a motto or quote, or simply a large hand-drawn flower design in the middle; the possibilities are endless!

To re-create this floral banner -

1. Draw around something circular like a tin or small plate to give you a guide to base your wreath design around.

2. Draw on the leaf and floral designs around the circle.

Top Tip: It's really nice to have elements like leaf trails of small blooms coming off the edges slightly to give an organic look

Use the FREE template download below if you'd like to add florals like us.

Terracotta

If you've got some pots at home that need a littel pick-me-up, why not use your acrylic paint markers to give them a mini makeover. Make sure the post are clean, dry, and free of any dirt, then add your design of choice.

You can even use the pens to decorate pots that live outside, just add a layer of clear sealent or varnish over the top of your design.

These mini flower pots are so sweet for mini succulents, propergating shoots or simply giving as little gifts to friends.

1. Draw a scallop design around the top edge of the flower pot.

2. Next, start by drawing the centre of the daisies first and then add on petals; don't worry if the petals overlap, this adds to the natural look.

Top Tip: To recreate the tulip design draw the bud fo flower furst followed by the leaves.

3. Leave the design to dry, then add a plant to the pot to finish.

Mache

There's no end to the mediums that can be applied to mache, and paint markers are no exception! They can be used directly onto the mache blank, or the letter can be painted (partially or entirely) and the markers used on top once the paint is dry - the choice is yours.

To recreate our spotted design -

1. Paint the whole of the mache letter and then leave to dry.

2. Use something round to draw around for the spots, I used the bottom of the paint bottle.

Top Tip: Have some of the spots coming off of the edge of the letter to give a scattered look.

3. Once the spots are dry, fill them using the pens to draw floral motifs, then leave to dry one final time.

Project alternative: This design also work well drawn directly onto the mache letters.

To recreate the striped design -

1.Paint on thick stripes using white acryllic paint - if you wanted really straight lines you could use a ruler to draw them in first and then fill with paint.

2. Use a pencil to lightly draw simple bloom motifs onto the letter.

3. Go over the pencil markeing with the pens, ensuring each area is dry before applying any colours on top of each other.

Ceramics

Unglazed ceramics make an ideal base for adding custom designs using paint markers, their super-smooth surface means drawing is a dream, and the nature of the pens allows you to add detail to the smallest of details.

Simply start by adding colour to the larger areas of your ceramic, leave to dry and then go in and add the smaller details.

We've used bright contrasting colours on our decorated ceramic houses to give a fun, illustrative look, but you could use complimentary tones if you prefer.
