How to Make a Grandparents Day Flowerpot Frame

These happy little photo flowerpot frames are sure to brighten up any windowsill! Using just a few basic crafting supplies, this project is a great opportunity for pre-schoolers to create something special for their much-loved grandparents.

Experiment with different photos, colours and shapes to create a whole garden of flowerpot frames! These are a wonderful gift for marking Grandparents Day.

How to make

Step 1

On some coloured card, draw around the flower shape cookie cutter. Cut out.

Step 2

Using a suitably sized circular object, draw around the face of the subject in your photo and then cut out. Glue the photo in the centre of the flower.

Step 3

Place a glue dot at the base of the flower and then attach the lolly stick to create the stem. Place another glue dot onto the stick and attach a mini wooden stick to make a leaf or two.

Step 4

Fill the cup with shred to create a base for the flower. Place in the flower to finish.
