Not exactly user friendly
This is not a beginner kit at all. The instructions are not clear to even thread up the tool. It could really include a frame to hold the fabric because you cannot possibly SAFELY punch through this without hurting yourself. To be completely honest it was a waste of money since I haven't made any advancement on it because I need to buy said frame to use it.
DON'T BOTHER BUYING THIS KIT IF:
1, YOU HAVE NEVER NEEDLE PUNCHED BEFORE,
2, THINK IT CONTAINS EVERYTHING YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE THE CUSHION COVER

Poorly designed.
The design doesn't have a big enough border to fit in a frame without being unable to reach parts of it, but it's also impossible to use a smaller frame as any areas you've already filled in cause the frame to pop out once you start, as they're too thick for the frame to fit. Given the dimensions, it's very tricky to even find a frame of a suitable size. If a kit is going to be this size, then it should be possible to find a frame of the right dimensions without huge amounts of searching. Additionally, the fabric starts to fray and rip at the edges when you need to tighten it to keep it taut.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY
I regrettably bought 3 of these kits as Christmas presents.... what a disaster! The fabric holes are far too small to get the punch needle through, as others have said, there is no ring included (so pretty useless if given as gifts to those who are novices or children) Thankfully I have a cross stitch ring so I used that, but even so my 8 years old daughter and I tried doing this particular cushion and wrecked the fabric as it just tore through it. I wish id kept the receipt as i would have been taking the whole lot back to hobbycraft... But alas... im now out of pocket and have some useless stuff to throw in the bin. Hobbycraft, how can you sell such things, I really thought you were better than that.

Wouldn’t recommend
No hoop in the kit. The needle is too big and yarn too thick. It creates too large of a hole that the yarn just comes out. You have to push so hard to get the large needle through that the fabric comes loose in the hoop.

Don’t buy this!!
I bought this for Xmas for my mother- very disappointed- it has no frame- and the needle is FAR too large and impossible to put through the fabric without tearing. We are going to order a set of punch needles from Amazon, so that might make it possible to complete the kit without damaging it! Shame, as the design is nice, hence the single star!!

Useless
Unfortunately my husband didn't read the reviews before buying this for me for Christmas. Even your own website shows you need a hoop to punch needle, so why not include one or advise that you need one to do the kit.

Waste of money
Attempted this at the weekend. This kit is not fit for purpose, it is impossible to create using the contents of the box and will require quite embroidery hoop to complete.
