I bought this material to make covers for extra cat beds/pillows that I wanted to dot around the house as we have three furry princesses who like their own space. Firstly, the material feels so luxurious as it is so soft and it also has a nice, small amount of stretch so it is not easily tearable but it does hold it’s shape. I was able to use it with my sewing machine as well as hand sewing.
I unpicked some stitches due to changing my mind about my pattern at one stage and was very pleased with how the material coped with that. It was not damaged by this at all - it still looked brand new. So, it is a very forgiving material. I love the colours it comes in. I was very happy with the value for money.
I’ve attached photos to show the material in use. The cats all love it and now associate anything I make with this material as theirs! It has made car journeys so much more comfortable and bearable for them as I made a cushion covered in this material especially for their carrying crate. They actually all adopt the “cat loaf” position and get comfy for the car ride now instead of spending the whole journey looking more and more angry and unsettled. So, I am ordering more to continue with my cat and household projects. I’ve been able to make more bed cushions out of the 200x152cm than I had expected! Lastly, I found that this material works great with both button and zip fastening, both of which I have used to finish my pieces. Highly recommend.
