Shocking poor quality
I cannot understand how this has been given a 4 star review. It is a re-boxing of a kit originally tooled in 1975 and even then it was a poor kit. The tool has not worn well at all with poor fit of parts, vague detail if it can even be called that, flash on the parts and a rough texture to all the parts. Check the reviews on other MisterCraft kits here and elsewhere before buying. They are all poor and the standard of manufacture does not help, is a release agent even used given the surface texture on the parts? I hope these are not bought as someone's first kit as it could put people off kit modelling if they thought it was typical of kits in general. Hobbycraft sell many brands that supply good products so why they sell this brand is questionable given the reputation they have, has nobody at Hobbycraft actually looked into these truly atrocious kits? I got this for the decals to use on another kit and had a fair idea the kit itself was really only fit for the bin but even the decals are useless - there are no redeeming features at all. If you are looking at this as a first step into model kits avoid at all costs. Please look at these kits again Hobbycraft, they are that bad.

Great kit but poor transfers
The plane kit made up very nicely and my dad was very pleased. But the transfers provided in the kit were very poor. They were poor quality broke up when put in water and didn’t stay were placed on the plane. They broke up when adjusted. Very disappointing.

Mk.5b Supermarine Spitfire
Its a good model of the mk.5b spitfire, its panel lines are good and clear, and makes into a good version of the aircraft in small scale, included in the kit is a decal sheet to do 6 different country's version of the spitfire mk.5b, and comes with clear windows, it makes a good kit for someone that is starting a basic kit.
